The Peugeot 301 is a subcompact car produced by PSA Peugeot Citroën since 2012. The company first announced its intentions to release a low-priced car in January 2012[2]. Four months later, in May, photos of the sedan were published, as well as some information about engines and dimensions. Then, at the Paris Motor Show the same year, the car was first presented, and sales began in November 2012, first in Turkey, and then in Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe[4]. In Western Europe, as expected, the car will not be sold.
Together with the 301, the concept of naming Peugeot models has changed: the zero in the middle will still indicate civilian versions of cars, the first digit - the class/size of the car, and the last - the prestige of the car. Thus, Peugeot cars will no longer change the name due to the release of the new generation[3].
